There are various reasons for an injection mold transfer:
- Dissatisfaction with the quality of the previous supplier
- Start of series production impossible because product specifications were not met
- Realize savings potential
- The supplier's production capacity is insufficient
- Supplier does not want to continue supplying, e.g. because he is focusing on other products
- Risks such as customs duties, currency fluctuations etc. should be avoided/reduced
The relocation of an injection mold to a new supplier is associated with risks. Polymeroptix has already successfully carried out many mold transfers. In some cases, series production was only possible thanks to process/mold optimizations made by Polymeroptix.
Based on your information regarding the tool and the product requirements, we assess whether a tool transfer to Polymeroptix is possible in principle. If necessary, a joint inspection of the mold on site is advisable. If the tool transfer is possible, we will inform you of a standard price and the delivery time. As soon as we receive the mold, we will inspect it and then manufacture sample parts. You will receive sample parts and the corresponding measurement results from us. After approval, we start series production.
